The project target beneficiaries are local communities and solid waste management actors in town ship, kwa-vonza and wikililye towns of Kitui County. The project will reach seven hundred (700) direct and over one hundred and fifty thousand (150,000) indirect beneficiaries in the project area contributing towards efforts to reduce the environmental degradation caused by solid waste through Solid Waste Management Enterprises (SWME).
This project seeks to achieve CSUDP;
objectives 3, “Improved access to basic services in selected informal settlement benefiting from effective redistribution of public resources and efficient use of innovation”,
objective 4, “Enhanced resilience to climate variability and socio-economic shocks amongst women and youth from selected informal settlement areas
objective 5 Expanded networks for urban learning and influence established” through the Kitui County Solid Waste Management Enterprises.
